An amazing past, a great present and a promising future

Jaime Alguersuari, catalan driver aged 22, has already participated in 46 Formula 1 Grand Prix. Though this year is out from the F1 gird, he is still linked with the F1 thanks to his rolas as test driver for Pirelli and as a technical commentartor for the BBC. Even though, as Jaime has already said several times, next season we'll see Jaime on the gird again but we still don't know with which team it will be. 

and, as we already promissed on our Facebook page, that's where you can remember which have been according to Jaime the bests moments of his two seasons at F1, what is Jaime doing this year and how next season is aproaching.

ONE YEAR OUT FROM THE GIRD

"I think I needed this stop. I'm having fun in another way andthanks to Pirelli and my work as a technical commentator on the BBC radio and TV I'm still very linked to the F1."

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH RED BULL

"I was never offered a work as a third driver."

"At barcelona I spoke with the management of Toro Rosso and Red Bull, with who I hadn't spoke since December. With the technical staff and the team we excanged some calls and there's a very good relation."

THE RETURN TO THE F1

"The only offer i was made was from Lotus F1. When you're left out from a project you're almost leaft without any chance to race. But as it's been proved, sometimes a door gets closed but two others get opened."

"In 2013 I'll be at F1 again. But there's still time to evaluate all the different options."
"I every day dedicate about three or four hours for the physical preparation. Keep fit is essential. At any time   the chance  being at F1 can arise and you have to ve prepared for it."

THE ARRIVAL TO THE F1

"my firsts laps with a F1 were a shock. I hadn't done any single kilometer of testing on the circuit. I knew that the most important was to get there with humility and not to make mistakes. They though my arrival was a big risk, but I managed to prove I was on the level. A F1 car is like any other car, but bigger, and what is more striking is its braking and acceleration and also having 10 people around your car..."

THE BEST AND WORST MOMENTS AT F1

"Definitely the best moment was my first good result at F1, when i did the seventh place last year. The best result the team had done in years. The worst moment was when I lost my friend and mate, Raniero, my physio. It was very tough."

"F1 is my priority and I produce music when I'm not busy with F1. When you have a creative moment you have to take it. It arrives in the most unexpected time. Now I'll take my second work, we're promoting it the whole month."

From all the GPs, choose one where you wanted to do it better...

"at the CP of China and Korea of 2010 we could have been fifth... In Corea, we failed on strategy, we lost 20 seconds on the pit stop. It was a wet race and with safety car."

Qhich is the chance of having you on next season's gird? what would you do if you couldn't find a seat?

"We will be on 2013's F1 gird. Everything will come, and I'm sure when I'm back, it will ve the best Jaime we've ever seen."

Un passat increïble, un gran present i un futur prometedor

Jaume Alguersuari, pilot català de 22 anys, compta amb l'experiència de 46 Grans Premis de Formula 1. Actualment, està fora de la graella del 2012, però segueix vinculat a la F1 gràcies a la seva tasca com a pilot provador de Pirelli i com a comentarista per a la BBC. Tot i això com ja ha dit el Jaume en diverses ocasions, la temporada vinent podrem tornar a veure el Jaume en la graella del 2013, tot i que encara no sabem en quin cotxe el veurem pujat.
I, com ja hem promès en la nostra pàgina del Facebook, aquí podreu saber quins han estat els millors moments segons el Jaume de les seves temporades a la F1, què esta fent durant aquest any i quines són les perspectives per la pròxima temporada.

UN ANY FORA DE LA GRAELLA
"Crec que aquesta parada era molt necessària. Estic disfrutant d'una altra manera, i gracies a Pirelli, i a la feina que faig com a comentarista tècnic a la BBC en radio i televisió, segueixo molt vinculat."

LA RELACIÓ AMB RED BULL
"Mai es van plantejar d'oferir-me un rol com a tercer pilot."
"A Barcelona vaig parlar amb la direcció de Toro Rosso i Red bull, amb els que no havia parlat des de desembre. Amb l''staff tècnic' i l'equip vam intercanviar alguna trucada i hi ha una relació molt bona."

LA TORNADA A LA F1
"L'única oferta per córrer el 2012 va ser la de Lotus F1. Quan et descavalguen a meitat del desembre d'un projecte pràcticament t'estan deixant sense opcions per córrer. Però com s'ha demostrat, a vegades es tenca una porta i se n'obren dos."
"En el 2013 estaré a la F1 un altre cop. Però encara hi ha temps per avaluar les diferent opcions."
"Cada dia dedico unes tres o quatre hores a la preparació física. Es fonamental estar en forma. En qualsevol moment pot sortit la possibilitat de saltar a un F1 i s'ha d'estar preparat."

L'ARRIBADA A LA F1
"Les meves primeres voltes amb un F1 van ser un shock. No havia fet ni un sol quilòmetre de test en un circuit. Tenia clar que el més important era arribar allà amb humilitat i no cometre errors. Van veure el meu desembarg molt arriscat, però vaig poder demostrar que estava al nivell. Un F1 es com qualsevol altre monoplaça, més gran ,i el que més impacta és la frenada i l'acceleració, i tenir a 10 mecànics al voltant del teu cotxe..."

ELS MILLORS I PITJORS MOMENTS A LA F1
"El millor moment sense cap dubte es el meu primer bon resultat a la F1, quan vaig fer el setè lloc l'any passat. El millor resultat que havia obtingut l'equip en anys. El pitjor moment es quan vaig perdre a el meu amic i company, Raniero, el meu preparador físic. Va ser molt dur."

"La F1 es la meva prioritat i la música la produeixo en els moments en els que no estic ocupat en la F1. Quan arriba un moment creatiu s'ha d'aprofitar. Arriba en el moment més inesperat. Ara treure el meu segon treball, estem de promoció tot el mes."

De tots els Grans Premis, tria'n un on et vas quedar amb ganes de més...
"En el GP de Xina i en el GP de Corea de 2010 podíem haver estat cinquens... A Corea, vam fallar en l'estratègia, vam perdre 20 segons el en 'pit stop'. Era una carrera en mullat i amb safety car."

Quin és el porcentatge de veure't en la graella de l'any que vé? Què faries en cas de no encontrar seient?
"Estarem en la graella de la F1 el 2013. Tot arribarà, i estic segur que quan torni, serà el millor Jaume que haguem vist mai."

Fins la victòria sempre, raniero // Always till the victory

Tal com els bons seguidors del Jaume saben, el passat diumenge, Raniero Gianotti ens va deixar despres que patís un atac de cor. Havia estat el fisio del Jaume a la F1 i entre ells dos s'havia establert una gran relació d'amistat, tant és així que el mateix Jaume va dir "he perdut un germà". Així doncs, tal com ja hem fet en la nostra pàgina del Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jaime-Alguersuari-Followers/169266023171209), nosaltres també volem donar tot el suport a la seva família i al Jaume, que no estan passant uns moments gens fàcils.

As how the more faithful followers of Jaime know, the last Sunday,  Raniero Gianotti left us after a heart attack. He had been Jaime's fisio at the F1 and between them arose a large friendship, so much that Jaime said "I've lost a brother". Therefore, as we've already done at our Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jaime-Alguersuari-Followers/169266023171209), we also want to give full support to his family and Jaime, who aren't  going through easy moments.
