An amazing past, a great present and a promising future

Jaime Alguersuari, catalan driver aged 22, has already participated in 46 Formula 1 Grand Prix. Though this year is out from the F1 gird, he is still linked with the F1 thanks to his rolas as test driver for Pirelli and as a technical commentartor for the BBC. Even though, as Jaime has already said several times, next season we'll see Jaime on the gird again but we still don't know with which team it will be. 

and, as we already promissed on our Facebook page, that's where you can remember which have been according to Jaime the bests moments of his two seasons at F1, what is Jaime doing this year and how next season is aproaching.

"The only offer i was made was from Lotus F1. When you're left out from a project you're almost leaft without any chance to race. But as it's been proved, sometimes a door gets closed but two others get opened."

They though my arrival was a big risk, but I managed to prove I was on the level. A F1 car is like any other car, but bigger, and what is more striking is its braking and acceleration and also having 10 people around your car..."

"Definitely the best moment was my first good result at F1, when i did the seventh place last year. The best result the team had done in years. The worst moment was when I lost my friend and mate, Raniero, my physio. It was very tough."

"at the CP of China and Korea of 2010 we could have been fifth... In Corea, we failed on strategy, we lost 20 seconds on the pit stop. It was a wet race and with safety car."

"We will be on 2013's F1 gird. Everything will come, and I'm sure when I'm back, it will ve the best Jaime we've ever seen."

Un passat increïble, un gran present i un futur prometedor

Jaume Alguersuari, pilot català de 22 anys, compta amb l'experiència de 46 Grans Premis de Formula 1. Actualment, està fora de la graella del 2012, però segueix vinculat a la F1 gràcies a la seva tasca com a pilot provador de Pirelli i com a comentarista per a la BBC. Tot i això com ja ha dit el Jaume en diverses ocasions, la temporada vinent podrem tornar a veure el Jaume en la graella del 2013, tot i que encara no sabem en quin cotxe el veurem pujat.

UN ANY FORA DE LA GRAELLA
"Crec que aquesta parada era molt necessària. Estic disfrutant d'una altra manera, i gracies a Pirelli, i a la feina que faig com a comentarista tècnic a la BBC en radio i televisió, segueixo molt vinculat."

LA RELACIÓ AMB RED BULL
"Mai es van plantejar d'oferir-me un rol com a tercer pilot."

"Les meves primeres voltes amb un F1 van ser un shock. No havia fet ni un sol quilòmetre de test en un circuit. Tenia clar que el més important era arribar allà amb humilitat i no cometre errors. Van veure el meu desembarg molt arriscat, però vaig poder demostrar que estava al nivell. Un F1 es com qualsevol altre monoplaça, més gran ,i el que més impacta és la frenada i l'acceleració, i tenir a 10 mecànics al voltant del teu cotxe..."

De tots els Grans Premis, tria'n un on et vas quedar amb ganes de més...
"En el GP de Xina i en el GP de Corea de 2010 podíem haver estat cinquens... A Corea, vam fallar en l'estratègia, vam perdre 20 segons el en 'pit stop'. Era una carrera en mullat i amb safety car."

Quin és el porcentatge de veure't en la graella de l'any que vé? Què faries en cas de no encontrar seient?
"Estarem en la graella de la F1 el 2013. Tot arribarà, i estic segur que quan torni, serà el millor Jaume que haguem vist mai."

Alguersuari: "No m'han matat. Tinc 21 anys; tornaré"

Després de la notícia que vam rebre ahir, Jaume Alguersuari ja ha anunciat quins seran els seus plans per al 2012. Entre tot el que ha dit en el comunicat que ha publicat a la seva pàgina web, podriem dir que destaca la següent afirmació: "No m'han matat. Tinc 21 anys; tornaré."
El pilot català també rebela que els dirigents de Toro Rosso, li van confirmar en el gran premi del Brasil que continuaria la pròxima temporada. aquest fet, va fer que el Jaume rebuigés una oferta, segons diu ell força bona. Quan li van comunicar el 13 de desembre que no correria per l'escuderia italiana, el marge de maniobra per trobar un equip de cara la nova temporada ja era molt petit. Va haver rumors que indicaven que el Jaume podia haver signat contracte com a tercer pilot amb AMG Mercedes, fet que semblava el més probable.
El passat 5 de febrer, el Jaume va confirmar via twitter que no estaria en cap escuderia. El  6 de febrer, el Jaume ha aclarat, quins serien els seus plans per al 2012, entre els quals destaca la voluntat de treballar tant com sigui possible per poder entrar el més aviat millor a un equip de Fórmula 1. També destaca que ell no vol criticar ni jutjar les accions de Red Bull, tot i que si que diu que l'escuderia de les begudes energètiques podria haver actuat considerant el seu futur. També reitera, com ja ha fet tantes vegades, que ell és el que és gràcies a Red Bull, de manera que tampoc vol jutjar a Red Bull.
"Mai pagaré per córrer." Jaume Alguersuari parla sobre el seu futur i revela que ha tingut converses "amb una de les millors escuderies que podrien ser determinants en el meu futur". També explica que durant el 2012 treballarà tant com pugui per poder tornar a la F1 en les millors condicions possibles per poder tornar tan aviat com sigui possible a la F1. Durant aquest any, el Jaume, correrà algunes proves de la màxima categoria del kàrting (KZ1), com l'europeu o el campionat del món. Entre tot això, també començarà a estudiar alemany diàriament. També combinarà, com ha fet fins ara la música i la F1 i afirma que no hi ha cap conflicte entre les seves grans aficions.
Finalment faré un petit apunt personal; el que personalment m'ha sorprès més de l'article, tot i que ja m'ho esperava, és la seva maduresa que ha tornat a mostrar. Per això crec que hem de confiar en ell i creure que aquest període allunyat dels monoplaçes no serà res més que un període per poder tornar a la F1 amb una gran empenta i aconseguir fer realitat el seu somni: ser campió de la Fórmula 1.

El somni de seguir a la F1 haurà d'esperar // The dream of continuing at F1 will have to wait

Jaume Alguersuari, acaba de comunicar via twitter que no seguirà vinculat a la Fórmula 1 durant la temporada 2012. Textualment ha escrit:

"No em veureu allà però estic molt content de la gran experiencia que m'ha donat la Formula 1."

Toro Rosso prescindeix de Jaume Alguersuari per al 2012 // Toro Rosso despenses with Jaime Alguersuari for the 2012

Toro Rosso ha anunciat aquest matí a Jaume Alguersuari que no comptaven ni amb ell ni amb Buemi per a la pròxima temporada, i que disposaran dels serveis de Daniel Ricciardo i Jean-Eric Vergne. Aquesta notícia, ha sobtat molt, ja que el Jaume havia firmat una gran temporada - últimament, havien estat molts els elogis que li havien fet tant la premsa internacional, els patrocinadors i la mateixa escuderia, l'últim, James Allen que va dir que havia estat el cinquè millor pilot de la temporada. 

"No judjo, no em sent víctima i no és un drama. Estic molt sorprès per la decisió; fa unes setmanes després d'haver guanyat el Desafío Internacional Das Estrelas, vaig parlar amb Helmut Marko i Franz Tost i els dos em van aprlar dels plans per al 2012." 

El Jaume es veia a l'escuderia italiana de cara l'any que vé, però un cop ha sabut la notícia i l'ha assimilat, ha canviat de mentalitat i afronta el pròxim any amb moltes ganes de treballar per donar als seus seguidors una alegria i poder tornar a tenir un volant en la Fórmula 1.

Toro Rosso has announced this morning that theydidn't counted with him and Buemi for the next season, and who will be in their place will be Daniel Ricciardo i Jean-Eric Vergne. this new, has shocked quite a lot, as Jaime had done a great season - lately the internacional press, the sponsors and also the team had praised him, the last one, James Allen, who said Jaime had been the fifth best driver in the 2012 championship.
"I don't judge, I don't feel victim and it isn't a drama. I'm very sourpresed for the decision; few weeks ago, after I had won the desafío Internacional das Estrelas, I spoke with Helmut Marko i Franz Tost and both told me which were the plans for the 2012."
Jaime though he would be in the Italian team in the next year, but once he has known the new and he has assimilated it, he has changed his mind and he faces the next year with the desire of working hard to give their followers a happiness and be able to get again a seat in Formula 1.

Un futur més que esperançador // A hopeful future

Tot i no haver pogut acabar la temporada per davant de Sauber, el Jaume ha aconseguit els tres objectius que Red Bull i Toro Rosso li van demanar al principi de la temporada: millorar la posició del mundial del 2010 (19a, i aquest any 14a), superar els punts aconseguits el 2010 (5 en el 2010 i 26 en el 2011) i superar el seu company d'equip, Sebastian Buemi. Està clar que ha aconseguit superar aquests objectius àmpliament, fet que fa pensar, juntament amb les paraules del Jaume que ha dit que ell té molt clar on serà el 2012, que continuarà en l'escuderia de Faenza. També m'agradaria aprofitar per felicitar al Jaume per la gran temporada que ha signat, fet que ens omple d'orgull a tots els que et seguim. Ara, a descansar i omplir-se de motivació per una nova temporada amb grans expectatives on es poden aconseguir grans resultats.

Though not being able to finish the season ahead of Sauber, Jaime has achieved the three objectives that red Bull and Toro Rosso wanted him to get at the beginning of the season: improve the position of the last season (29th position in 2010 and 14th in 2011), get more points than 2010 (5 in 2010 and 26 in 2011) and be better than his team colleague, Sebastien Buemi. Clearly he has achieved all these objectives by far, what suggests that, along with the lasts words of Jamie who says he knows where he will be in 2012, he will be in the Faenza’s team in the next year. I'd also like to congratulate Jaime for the excellent season he has done, what makes us feel proud of him. Now, let's rest and get plenty of motivation for a new season with great expectations where there can arrive great results. 

Una gran temporada, amb final agredolç // A great season ended with a bittersweet

L'últim Gran Premi de la segona temporada que ha completat Jaume Alguersuari a la Fórmula 1 ha acabat amb un final que els aficionats una mica optimistes no s'esperaven. Tot i haver acabat en la onzena posició del Gran Premi del Brasil i no haver pogut avançar a Sauber en la classificació de constructors (fet que significa que Toro Rosso es queda a la 8a posició del campionat de constructors) i no haver pogut aconseguir soperar a Kamuy Kobayashi en al mundial de pilots, el Jaume ha firmat una gran temporada. Tot i que els primers resultats no van arribar fins al Gran Premi de València, on el Jaume va entendre el funcionament dels Pirelli, a partir d'allà, han arribat grans resultats i el Jaume ha aconseguit sumar un total de 26 punts que l'han portat a la 14a posició del mundial, onze punts més que Sebastian Buemi, que s'ha quedat amb la 15a posició de la classificació de pilots. Això i la joventut del Jaume, amb només 21 anys (dos menys que el seu company d'equip), fa pensar en relació als rumors comentats en l'article anterior, que el Jaume hauria de ser el pilot de Toro Rosso que hagi de continuar en l'escuderia de Faenza de cara la temporada vinent.

Però el record amb el que ens hem de quedar d'aquesta temporada del Jaume, és amb el que ell ha fet una temporada realment excepcional i que, si segueix a la Fórmula 1, pot arribar molt amunt.

The last grand Prix of the second season in the formula 1 of Jaime Alguersuari has finished with a bittersweet for the optimistic followers of Jaime. Though he's finished at the 11th position in the grand Prix of Brasil and Toro Rosso hasn't been able to overtake Sauber at the constructors’ championship (what means that Toro Rosso remains in the 8th position) and he hasn't managed to overtake Kamuy Kobayashi at the driver's championship, Jaime has signed a great season. Although the firsts results didn't arrive until the Grand Prix of Valencia, where Jaime started to understand more and more how the Pirelli's tyres work. Since there, the good results started to arrive and now, at the end of the championship, Jaime has 26 points which have taken him to the 14th position in the driver’s championship, 11 points more than Sebastien Buemi, who has finished at the 15th position. All this and Jaime's 21 years (two less than Buemi), suggests that in relation to the rumours commented in the last article, Jaime would have to be the driver who would have to remain in the Italian team the next season.

But, what we have to think is that Jaime has done an extraordinary season and if he remains in Formula 1, he can reach very high.

Un gran premi més transcendent que mai // A Grand Prix more transcendent than ever

L'últim gran premi de la temporada i en contra de tots els que diuen que no te cap mena d'importancia pel fet que els Campionats ja s'hagin decidit a favor de Sebastian Vettel i RBR Renault, encara hi ha equips com Toro Rosso i pilots com Jaume Alguersuari que no tenen ni la classificació ni el seu futur decidit. L'escuderia Italiana està només un punt per darrere de Sauber-Ferrari i el Jaume, dos punts per darrere de Kamuy Kobayashi. Això fa preveure un cap de setmana molt interessant. A més a més, hi ha rumors que diuen que o el Jaume o el Sebastian no tindran un seient a l'escuderia, fet que converteix aquest Gran Premi en l'ultima possiblitat per demostrar quin dels dos s'ha de quedar. Tot i així, sobre el paper, el Jaume és el que més opcions té de seguir en lòrbita de Toro Rosso ja que ha fet una excel·lent temporada i ha firmat millors resultats que el seu copany d'equip. Ara, el Jaume ja no és aquell pilot novell sense quilòmetres sobre un Formula 1, ara te molts més quilòmetres a l'esquena i compta amb molta maduresa.


The last Grand Prix of the season has arrived and though what many people think it hasn't any kind of interest,   as the Championships have already been decided in favor of Sebastian Vettel and RBR Renault, there are teams and drivers like Toro Rosso and Jaime Alguersuari who still hasn't their rank and future secured. the Italian team is only one point behind Sauber-Ferrari and Jaime, two points behind Kamuy Kobayashi. This points to a very interesting weekend. Furethermore, there are some rumours which say that or Jaime or Buemi won't have a seat in the team for the next year, what makes this Grand Prix an incredible chance to show which of the drivers has to remain in the team. Even though Jaime is the driver with more possivilities to remain in Toro Rosso's orbit as he has done an excelent season and has managed to get better results than his team companion. Now, Jaime isn't a driver who hasn't got experience and only few kilometers on a Formula One, now he has made many kilometers and he is much more mature.

Un GP d'Abu Dhabi que no ens podem perdre. // A GP of Abu Dhabi that we can't miss.

La pròxima edició del Gran Premi d'Abu Dhabi es presenta molt interessant. Mentre que els títols del Campionat del Món ja s'han decidit, encara hi ha equips com Toro Rosso, que està empatat amb Sauber amb 41 punts en la classificació de constructors. Mentrestant, Jaume Alguersuari intentarà ajudar a l'equip juntament amb Sebastian Buemi per aconseguir superar a Sauber i  Kamui Kobayashi, que té només un punt més que el pilot català en la classificació de pilots.

The next edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix comes very interesting. While the World Championship titles have already been decided, there are still teams like Toro Rosso, which is tied with Sauber with 41 pionts in the constructors' classification. Meanwhile, Jaime Alguersuari will try to help the team with Sebastien Buemi to get ahead of Sauber and Kamui Kobayashi, who has only one point more than the Catalan driver in the drivers' classification.

El Jaume torna a puntuar! // Jaime scores again!

Un cap de setmana en el qual Toro Rosso té un cotxe competitiu, s'està convertint en sinònim de punts. Jaume Alguersuari va aconseguir una meritòria 8a posició en la primera edició del Gran Premi de la Índia, que dóna quatre punts molt valuosos per l'equip, que cada vegada té més a prop l'objectiu de superar a Sauber en la classificació de constructors, cosa que significaria un ingrés de 10 millons d'euros per l'escuderia de Faenza. De cara les dues últimes cites del mundial, l'equip ja no aportarà més novetats i es concentrarà en aconseguir més punts.
A weekend where Toro Rosso has a competitive car, it's becoming synonymous of getting points. Jaime Alguersuari got a meritorious 8th position in the first edition of the Indian Grand Prix, which provides four valuable points for the team, that has every time more close the objective of overtaking Sauber at the constructors classification, what would mean an income of 10 milion euros for the team from Faenza. For the upcoming World Cup events, the team won't take any other news in the car and they will concentrate on getting more points.
